When you’re trying to push or pull your trailer into a tight spot, a jack that doesn’t cooperate can turn a simple move into a wrestling match. This Dutton-Lainson swivel jack makes that job easy. The 6" caster wheel turns a full 360 degrees, so you can guide your trailer smoothly in any direction. The jack swings up and out of the way when you’re ready to tow, locking into position with the pull-pin design. With a 1,000-lb lift capacity and 12" of screw travel, it gives you the height and leverage to move small boats, PWC trailers, and recreational setups with confidence.
Saltwater and road grime can eat through ordinary metal fast, but this jack’s premium TUFFPLATE zinc finish holds strong. It’s a triple-layer coating system—zinc, chromate, and sealer—that resists corrosion for up to 500 hours in salt-spray testing. That’s five times stronger than standard zinc plating and outlasts typical powder coat finishes by about 30%. Whether it’s exposed to rain, washdown water, or salty air, the TUFFPLATE finish keeps the steel housing looking good and working like new.

Getting a jack mounted shouldn’t be complicated. This unit bolts directly to trailer frames up to 3" wide x 5" tall using the included mounting bracket and hardware. The sidewind handle gives you plenty of clearance while you crank, keeping your hand away from the trailer frame and other gear. A J-bolt handle lets you position the jack exactly where you need it. Once installed, raising and lowering the tongue feels smooth and controlled, without hand fatigue or knuckle bashing.
From weekend towing to long-term storage, this jack is built to take the load. The heavy-gauge steel tubing—2" outer diameter and 1-3/4" inner diameter—supports up to 1,000 lbs of lift capacity. It measures 15-5/8" retracted and 27-5/16" extended, giving you plenty of range for uneven ground or sloped parking areas. Paired with its corrosion protection and 3-year limited warranty, it’s the kind of gear you install once and trust for the long haul.

Works just as described. I’ve had it over a year now and still works like new. Thank you!
Great quality and easy to install
The trailer jack I ordered was a direct replacement for my existing one. It did come with all of the hardware to make it a universal fit for any trailer. The service was great and product shipped fast. I even received an email after parts arrived ensuring that my order was correct. I would recommend Etrailer to anyone needing towing or trailer parts. A+ service.
Great strong trailer jack. I use on the trailer that I haul my ATV with. Makes moving the trailer from storeage shed to truck a breeze. Now I don't have unload the ATV to move the trailer into storage. Ijust let the ATV on the trailer and roll it back in to the shed.
works great better than original
Perfect fit, quick install!
Placed on a 16' Aluminum boat/Trailer. This was the only trailer jack I could find which would raise the bow of the boat sufficiently to place the trailer coupler above the hitch ball. I have a tongue weight of about 150 pounds and arthritis in my back.
Pros:
It seems to be made of quality materials. Rustproofing seems to be robust. Does raise the coupler at least 5 inches higher than the previous hitch. Installation is simple but........
Cons:
There are no installation instructions except "refer to the drawing", which is a blow-up view of all the parts of the jack. There is no step 1, step 2, etc. Unfortunately, there are a few parts that could be installed incorrectly. It's easy to put together once you figure out what goes where.
Gets 5 stars if it had reasonable assembly instructions.
Well, it hasn’t completely failed after one year, but it is getting hard to crank and has no grease fittings. I have a venture trailer, used the OEM jack for at least 5 years, that failed (became impossible to crank, grease didn’t help) so I replaced it with an Amazon Fulton jack that failed after about a year, replaced that with a West Marine jack that also only lasted a year. OK, I conclude I’m getting Chinese junk with American brand names. So I find this Dutton - Lainsin jack claiming made in USA.for 100 years etc. And it has a multi Year warranty. So I bought it last year. Not looking promising. I’m not immersing these in salt water or anything, what gives? It’s like the new Whirlpool refrigerator I bought that had two service calls in the first year! Have manufacturers forgotten how to build quality products? Or is it a better business model to sell cheap junk? Frustrating!!
Replaced my 20 yr old fulton jack with your dutton. Exact replacement didn't have to use any of the hardware, just bolted it in place. Now my shore lander boat trailer should go another decade or two. Ready for the fishing season here in Michigan, thanks so much I'll make sure to tell all my fishing friends what a great service you offer.
Just installed this. Seems like a good product. Instructions were poor.
There was no instructions on assembly in the box. The online video only showed partial assembly. The price is higher than other places with the same style of trailer leg. The quality seems good time will tell.
Etrailer made this acquisition so easy I wish all on-line retailers were like them. Hassle free!
Just right for the single axle Load-Rite trailer my 18' CC is on. Easy to install, operates smoothly and the 12" of lift is more than enough to get unhitched.
My new Dutton-Lainson Tongue Jack from erailer has eliminated the potential problem of receiving an unwanted tailgate ding. This unit is heavy duty with a 1,000 pound tongue rating - not some $35 throw-away unit that you usually get from Big Box stores.
Installation on my new Karavan Utility Trailer was easy enough, taking no more than 30 minutes, and that's without even reading the installation instructions!
The D-L tongue jack provides trailer tongue quick drop, as well as high quality worm gear internals.
Thanks etrailer! Satisfied Customer
Easy to order and excellent customer se rvice!
I was told the trailer jack I was ordering was the same as the one I was replacing. It was not! I could not use the one you sent!
The product is fine but they DO NOT include any instructions. Only a parts diagram!
eTrailer support was great but they can only do so much.
On late 1990's and early 2000's Ranger boat trailers, this Jack fits custom trailer jack mounting bracket, (with 2.5" diameter) perfectly. Using the hardware that came with Ranger trailer to mount to custom bracket. I wish this was advertised in product information, with pictures and etrailer customer service was aware, so they could advise inquiring customers to this solution.
Put a memo out to etrailer CS staff, this is the correct fit, for older Ranger trailer's with a custom mounting bracket.

Looks awesome, Steven! Thanks for the photo :) I can definitely pass along the suggestion, too
This trailer jack may work on 3"x 5" trailer frame/tongue but it doesn't fit my 2"x 4-1/2" frame. Not happy.
Wonderful customer service, my trailer jack arrived ahead of time, was exactly what I needed…
This was a perfect replacement for my 203925B jack. Swapping it out took only 15 minutes, and included everything I needed.

Love to hear it Issac, Let us know if you need anything and thanks for choosing etrailer!
I purchased a 6 Kw Kubota generator and the trailer had a bad front jack. I integrated this jack into the spare tire holder, also from etrailer. Great products.
